That’s Sin Too

“Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.” James 4:17 KJV

There is a thought in this world that it is okay for us to be conscience of what needs to happen in a situation, yet do nothing to help others in need.  Just looking at my own life, I am astounded at the number of times I could have done more in situations and just didn’t.  Much of this is caused by our own personal fears of rejection, desire to not seem to “take over”, or even a sense of tiredness.  Many of us have been so busy doing what God has assigned others to do that we literally have no strength to do what He has assigned for us to do. James 4:17 should be a wake up call for all of us today.  What good thing has God told you to do that you aren’t doing?  Whose life is on hold waiting to be reached by you?  Whose prayer answer has God given you that you refuse to deliver?  What sinner has yet to come to know Christ because you are choosing to operate in sin and not do what the Lord has called you to? It’s time for all of us to simply do the “good” that God has called us to do.  Anything less is sin. P.A. Harvin
