Examine Yourself

Examine Yourself Scripture:2 Corinthians 13:5 It’s always easy to point the finger at others instead of examining ourselves. In this scripture, Paul is talking to those in the Corinthian church that made a point of criticizing Paul’s authority as an apostle. If we aren’t careful, we can do the same thing today. As soon as the Lord sends a messenger with a message we don’t care for, we attack the messenger instead of heeding the message. Paul’s call for each person to examine themselves is wise advice for each of us. We should check ourselves to see if we are in the faith so that we will know when God is speaking. Just maybe the problem is us. Examine yourself regularly to make sure that you can hear what the Holy Spirit is saying to the Church.
