We all seem to be in a rush to get things done. We quickly move from one activity to another. We barely have time to acknowledge those around us because we are needed somewhere else. When we get to the end of the day and realize that we did a lot, but not the things we intended to do.
How many times have you decided to read your Word daily or pray often. Those things may even have been on your annual New Year’s resolution list. You may start out strong because of your good intentions, but soon you discover that you either never started or it fizzled out before the month of January came to an end. We need to consecrate time to spend with God. Whatever that looks like to you–as long as it is on a regular basis.
God created the Heaven and the Earth with everything they consist of in six days. On the seventh day, he rested. He took time to pause and we should do the same. Take time to spend with God and make it a regular part of your day. Don’t neglect it or forget about it. Treat it as vital as you take eating and going about your day. Your relationship with God will grow and so will your faith.
