Focus Scripture:
Mat 9:37-38 KJV  Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;  (38)  Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

Looking at all of the issues and challenges our world faces can be a very discouraging thing.  We are surrounded by violence, fear, hatred and other indicators of the presence of evil.  There are so many people that are unknowingly lost.  They continue day after day to merely exist in the world only to eventually die and spend eternity in hell.

None of us should have to face such a dismal fate.  Christ died so that all of us could spend eternity with our Heavenly Father.  So why are so many lost if we have the solution to the world’s dilemma?

Think of the people of the world as a huge crop that has been planted and is now ready to be harvested.  While the farmer may have done a great job planting and watering the crop, there comes a time when it must be brought in from the field. Someone has to go into the field and bring it in before it spoils in the field.

While you would think that the farmer would have no problem getting workers to bring the harvest in, very few actually are willing to go into the fields for various reasons.  Yet, no matter the reason, the harvest is withering away in the field waiting for someone to go bring it in.

Are you willing to work the harvest for the Master?  Can the Lord count on you to go to the field and bring the lost in for Christ?
