It’s Weaning Time Scripture: 1 Samuel 1: 19-28 In this passage, Hannah refused to let her son Samuel go before he was ready. She was willing to change her schedule to make sure Samuel was weaned properly. In our lives, weaning comes many times over. Some of us need to be weaned from a dependence on others compliments, financial support, physical affections, etc. Others may need to be weaned from riding someone else’s anointing and depending on them to hear from God for you. Whatever the case may be, we should look at weaning as an opportunity to grow in the Lord. When I am less dependent upon you, I become more dependent upon God. On the flip side, if you are someone else’s god, it’s time to wean them from worshiping you to worshiping God. God does allow us to play a role in other’s lives. However, those roles are always in seasons. Even though you may mean well, make sure you don’t become a stumbling block in someone’s growth. It’s weaning time…
