Philippians 3:13-14 KJV Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, (14) I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
How we handle successes today often determines what successes we will have tomorrow. For some of us, one success becomes the culmination of our all of our living. Instead of looking at it as a stepping stone, we take what should have been a stepping stone and make it a tombstone.
As believers, Paul teaches us a valuable lesson we need to apply daily. Whatever you have accomplished or whatever heights you have been able to obtain, never think that you have arrived. While we should celebrate the incremental accomplishments made in our live, we should always be asking what is next. What is God positioning you for in this season of life that will make sense years from now?
Don’t get stuck in the now and forget about the next. Trust God today and realize He has a plan for what’s next in your life.
